Footprints In The House . . .

Texture, warmth, comfort and color are major contributors to fashion accessories in the house. Animal skin prints are weaving their way into objects and room design for the home, just as they have been a key element in fashion design for the past couple of years. Whether you need a hint of basic black, white or brown - it's right here. The elegance of being able to completely change a room with one piece of furniture or a rug with an animal print on it is simple and extremely affective. The bathroom options are available in snake skin, leopard, or zebra - what appeals to you? Fendi offers a black snake Casa Furniture Collection, or Steuler brings out their Daktari tiles. Vitruvit has vessels in several options, such as snake, and alligator in the Ethnic Collection. Be sure and take note of Dolce & Gabbana's Mademoiselle Chair in leopard, and what completes the room perfectly more than a Karastan rug from their Exotics Collection. It is your choice - have fun . . it will be "purrrfect."

Ultimate Recycling . . .

There is recycling and then there is redesigning/recycling the way MetroSofa does it. In creating their pieces, MetroSofa thoroughly restores and rebuilds the frames so they can truly continue use by the next generations to come. Their styling is anywhere from Classic to Modern - to well how about you design your own? In keeping with other 'Green' products, MetroSofa uses old and antique frames and continually recycles many components used in the production process. This truly is art inspired furniture. Art/recycling/design and style . . . everything furniture should ever be!

Vintage "Look" Mid-Century Art

The mid-century look and feel is still larger than life, as we have turned the corner in an entirely new century. It is one of the most sought after looks in office and home decor. What if you turned the tables on that one a bit? Say you don't necessarily want to turn your office or house upside down in this of all economies, but would like to add a little of that 1950's - 1960s look to your decor. Simple - add art such as that we are showcasing above. All of these can be found at the Terrence Rogers Fine Art Studio in Santa Monica California. We are only showing a sampling of the choices - and even if you were not around in that era, as you look through the art, you will see familiar scenes and objects that are once again the "must haves", such as the Vespa, or mid-century chair. The art ranges in price from $800 - $5000.00, which is a significant savings from redoing what you have and love. Just add to it!

Orange before Red . . .

Hold off on the red stuff and bring on the orange - as the second most celebrated of holidays for Americans arrives at the end of this month, before the red holiday season begins after Thanksgiving.
Halloween has a very old origin which is not necessarily why it is so popular today. October 31st is the last day of the Celtic calendar. It was originally a pagan holiday, honoring the dead. Halloween was referred to as All Hallows Eve and dates back to over 2000 years ago. Have fun and be safe! Need a screensaver? Found a couple for you
